This is the designation of
Ideal Cut by the American Gem Society Laboratory (AGSL). It is their highest grade for cut quality. AGSL performs the most comprehensive and critical cut quality analysis of any laboratory in the world. They use a 0-10 grading scale, where 0 is the best (think of it as 0 deductions). As the AGSL cut grading system advanced and evolved the use of the term "Triple 0" has changed. Today it means Ideal in light performance, polish and symmetry. A diamond must have 0 in all three of these areas in order to have an overall cut grade of Ideal. For more information see our page on
AGS Ideal.
