She said yes and the ring exceeds her (and my) expectations! She was convinced she was getting a 1.2 - 1.3 ct ring and was a little concerned whether the diamond would not be substantial enough for the Tacori Ribbon band. But you and I knew she wasn't getting a 1.2 - 1.3 ct diamond, right? :-) Well let''s just say that at first she was a little concerned how big the 1.5ct diamond was, but the more she wore it and the more she looked at it the more she fell in love with it and the "it might be too big" concern wore off pretty quickly! Incredibly well cut diamonds look a lot bigger than their ct weight; we proved this when shopping around and compared a 1.5ct Ideal round brilliant to a 1.75 not-Ideal round brilliant. The diamond in all circumstances appears white (as expected of a G-diamond). The crazy yellow hue was due to the lighting and the surroundings of my temporary living quarters here in TW. On the MRT (subway), in restaurants, walking outside during the day, at night.....doesn't matter...insane whiteness and sparkle. In fact while sitting on the train, or in a restaurant, we'd both just be sitting there staring at the ring. It is that spectacular. You (we) did very well! She had picked the Tacori band previously, but now that there is a diamond on it, her diamond, the setting just continues to amaze her. It is elegant, classy and a little blinged-up without being in-your-face about it. Timeless elegance is what she was looking for and that's what she got. I thought the ring was gorgeous on its own, but when on her finger it looks so much better! She almost doesn't want to muck-it-up with a wedding band. Don't worry, I'll work on her! :-) Thank you so much for your help in finding the right diamond! Expectations exceeded! PS - In the words of my future wife "Love Love Love!!" and "It's PERFECT!!"; nothing more needs to be said.
